The first project involves a total of $45 million in loans to Banco Lafise Costa Rica, a member of the regional financial institution Lafise Group, to enable it to expand its portfolio of low- and middle-income residential mortgages.

The second project is a $60 million loan to Banco BAC San Jose under the BAC Central American SME and Housing Lending Facility, which was recently approved by OPIC’s Board of Directors. Under this loan, Banco BAC San Jose will be able to expand its low- and middle-income mortgage and SME lending portfolios.
