New Air Route between San José - San Andres

From July 3 Avianca will operate three weekly flights between the capital of Costa Rica and the Colombian island of San Andres.

From a statement issued by Avianca:

This route will start operating three times a week, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, using ATR72 aircraft with capacity for 68 passengers.

The flight will operate with the following schedule:

Origin / Destination Departs Arrives Frequency
San Jose-San Andres 11:50 14:09 Friday, Saturday and Sunday
San Andrés-San Jose 14:44 15:01 Friday, Saturday and Sunday

This new flight will strengthen tourism and trade relations between the two destinations and provide connection options for passengers in other major markets in the region, such as Guatemala, Panama, Managua, Tegucigalpa and Avianca's Connections Center in El Salvador.

New San Salvador - Cartagena Direct Flight

The new Avianca air route will operate as of October 30 of this year four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Avianca airline reported that the new El Salvador-Cartagena route will operate using an Embraer E190 aircraft with capacity for 96 passengers, 8 in Business Class and 88 in Economy, offering a total of 768 weekly seats between the two destinations.

New Flights from Costa Rica to Mexico and Honduras

Avianca has announced that from June it will be offering a direct flight four times a week between San Jose and Mexico City, and a daily direct flight to San Pedro Sula.

The airline also announced that it will add a third daily flight between Costa Rica and Guatemala, starting from the same date.

New Flight from Panama to San Andres

May 2015

Starting from July 3 Avianca will fly three times a week from Tocumen airport to the island of San Andres, Colombia.

The airline announced that the frequency will start operating on July 3 Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with stops in San Jose, Costa Rica.
