Los Angeles - Costa Rica Nonstop Flight

From April 2016 the airline Southwest will operate a daily frequency between Los Angeles International Airport and Liberia, in the tourist province of Guanacaste.

The US-based airline said that flights will start operating in April 2016, and the tickets will be on sale earlier this year, but they are still waiting for approval from the government of Costa Rica.

The flight will leave daily from Terminal 1 of Los Angeles International Airport, landing at Daniel Oduber airport in Liberia.

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) today announced plans to complement its growing portfolio of international routes by offering nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport and Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia/Guanacaste, Costa Rica beginning in April 2016. Southwest® expects to operate the service daily from LAX Terminal 2, adjacent the carrier's domestic operation in LAX Terminal 1. Flights will be available for purchase early next year at Southwest.com and are subject to foreign government approval.

During the months of January and February 2019 United Airlines will fly daily from Chicago to San Jose, and Alaska Airlines will fly from Los Angeles, during the entire peak season.

A statement from the ICT details that "... There will be approximately 15,000 additional seats in the first quarter of 2019 for the United States."

Alaska Airlines has announced that in October this year it will start operating eight weekly flights between Los Angeles, USA, and the cities of Liberia and San Jose.

Delta Air Lines has announced that from June it will operate a weekly seasonal service between the capital of Nicaragua and the city of Los Angeles, United States.

From a statement issued by Delta Air Lines:

Delta Air Lines will begin to operate a seasonal service on Saturdays between Los Angeles and Managua, from June 5, 2015.

Nonstop Baltimore - Costa Rica Flights

Southwest Airlines has announced that it will begin operating direct air routes between the airports of San Jose and Baltimore from March 7, 2015.
