Nicaraguan companies complete business in the Dominican Republic

Businessmen have said that a business tour to the Caribbean country was successful due to the contacts and trade agreements that were reached.

As a part of the contacts made in the country, they agreed that a delegation from the Dominican Republic will visit Nicaragua shortly to continue the process and to try and complete new business between the parties.

Pedro Blandino, Dominican Republic ambassador to Nicaragua, also mentioned that the contracts for the export of lumber and wooden furniture, which are traditional Nicaraguan exports to the country, were signed.

Guatemala: Macro Supply Chain Roundtables

The activity, to be held on July 4, seeks to bring together providers of goods and services in the production chain in the country in order to generate business for domestic SMEs.

From a press release issued by the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (AGEXPORT):

Through the National Macro Meetings on Supply Chain, a specialized commercial forum, AGEXPORT aims to bring together providers of goods and services in the production chain in the country with multisectoral companies and large chains such as hotels, restaurants and hospitals for mass consumption, in order to achieve better business for domestic SMEs in the production chain. The Macro Round will take place on July 4, 2013 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Guatemala City.

Mesoamerican Business Meeting

The 1st. Mesoamerican Business Meeting will be held from 4 to 7 of October, 2011 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

The meeting aims to promote trade among the participants, by gathering together in one place a diverse cross section of buyers and sellers of the region’s products.

Panamanian businessmen negotiated purchases for $ 1.5 million of Nicaraguan products over three days of meetings.

The products include leather and footwear, wooden furniture, seafood and dairy products, said Roberto Brenes, General Manager of the Nicaraguan Export and Investment Center (CEI).

Panama Trade Mission visits Nicaragua

Panamanian businessmen forming a trade mission will visit the country from the 24th through the 26th of February.

The project director of the Center for Exports and Investment in Nicaragua (CEI), Maritza Flores Obando, pointed out that they are preparing a broad agenda which includes business roundtables.
