Nicaraguan Exports Down by 11%

In the first five months of the year, exports from Nicaragua generated $616 million, 11.1% less than during the same period in 2008.

Data from the Center for Export Procedures (CETREX) also reflected a decline of 7.72% in the volume of exports in the first five months of 2009.

Prensa Libre published on its website: "Sales volume from January to May this year added 626,893.1 metric tons, while during the same period last year, it was 679,345.2 metric tons, explained the source."

Nicaraguan Exports Down 6.6%

During the first five months of 2013 $1.1067 billion worth of goods were sold abroad, while in the same period in 2012 export revenues were $1.1852 billion.

The Center for Export Procedures (CETREX) reported a decrease of 0.94% in the volume of foreign sales, registering 849,563.6 metric tons between January and May compared to 857,605.6 metric tons in the first five months of 2012.

Guatemalan Coffee Exports Down by 21.5%

Data from the Bank of Guatemala (Banguat) also showed a decrease in export volumes which amounted to 137 million kilos, 28.3% less than the 191 million kilos in the same period in 2011.

During the same period, reductions have been reported not only on income from foreign sales of coffee; the situation is the same with exports of natural rubber and cardamom.

Exports Fall 9.5% in Nicaragua

Exports added up to $747 million between January and June compared to $825 million from the same period in 2008.

The Center for Processing Exports (CETEX, acronym in Spanish) also informed that the volume of exports fell by 5% in the same period.

Nicaraguan Exports Fall by 17.8%

Foreign sales were down by 17.8% in volume and 10.4% in value in February.

El Nuevo Diario published on its website: In February 2008, exports were $144 million, while the amount reported was $130 million during the same period this year, according to CETREX (The Center for Export Procedures) figures.
