Nicaragua negotiates direct flight from San Jose to Corn Island

The Government is negotiation with Costa Rican Airlines to start direct flights from San Jose to the island paradise of Corn Island in the southern Caribbean coast.

The La Primerisima radio published on its website that "The director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (Intur) for the Caribbean coast, Henningston Hodgson, said that the negotiations are being held with Costa Rican airlines, but did not given any names. They are also talking with companies that provide private charter flights, in addition to the Nicaraguan airline, La Costeña, he added."

More Direct Flights from Paris to Costa Rica

From November this year Air France will increase the number of direct weekly flights between Paris and Juan Santamaria International Airport to three.

In addition to increasing the number of flight frequencies, the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism has announced that it will extend the timeframe during which Air France flights operates seasonal flights. From this year the flight season will begin on October 28 and end on April 30, 2018.

New Low Cost Flights to Managua

April 2016

VECA Airlines will start operations in the Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport on April 27, with flights to San Salvador and San Jose.

After the announcement by Nicaraguan tourism authorities, the low-cost airline VECA Airlines confirmed on its website that it will start flights from Managua to San Salvador (direct flight) and San Jose (one stop) from April 27.

JetBlue announced the addition of a second weekly flight from Boston and Apple Vacations will incorporate the Liberia Missouri-Saint Louis route, which will be operated by XTRAirways.

JetBlue will operate its second flight on Sunday in a A320 aircraft with capacity for 150 passengers, starting in January and to be maintained throughout the season.
