FENATUR 2009 is kicking off Friday with more than 140 participating companies and the slogan "Visit Nicaragua First."

Journalist Luis Nuñez wrote in LaPrensa.com.ni: "'The fair will be attended by over 140 tourism businesses from across the country, and the aim is to learn more about the destinations that Nicaragua has to offer to both domestic and international tourism,' said Maxha Leony, sales manager for AC Eventos.
Nicaraguan Tourism has been one of the fastest growing activities in recent years, even in the midst of the crisis."

The National Toursim Chamber is preparing for the third edition of the international fair which will take place on the 13th and 14th of April 2012 in Nicaragua.

This fair is the place to promote touristic alternatives in Central America. It is visited by over 7.000 people, most of them wholesalers, tour-operators and journalists.

Costa Rica tourism expo kicks off

Local hotels, adventure tour companies and transportation services filled several rooms at the Ramada Plaza Herradura conference center in Cariari, a northwestern San José suburb, yesterday for the first day of EXPOTUR.

The tourism conference, organized annually by the Costa Rican Association of Tourism Professionals (ACOPROT), runs through Sunday. Some 260 businesses set up stands for more than 100 travel companies.
