Lucy Valenti, president of the Nicaraguan Surf Federation, told Elnuevodiario.com.ni that "... These world championships have placed Nicaragua as one of the top surfing destinations due to their media impact. The championships that have been held, have taken place in more than 150 countries and 250 million people have discovered Nicaragua thanks to the transfers that are made. "

Gerald Membreño, general manager of the Popoyo tourism project, added "... We as hosts are already working to provide good logistics and now we have hired 16 workers, because these global events promote surfing tourism and generate interest in acquiring coastal properties. "
