Nicaragua will come before SICA and OMC regarding a mechanism to solve the controversies due to the obstacles of exporting meat to Honduras.

Elnuevodiario.com.ni publishes in its website:"Minister Solórzano made the call through a letter that he signed and sent yesterday afternoon from the Office of Industry and Trade of the Secretary of the State of Honduras, per Article 9 of the conflict mediation mechanism regarding Central American integration."

"Solórzano recalled that the cattle raisers and the Nicaraguan slaughterhouses have been damaged by maneuvers carried out by government officials of Honduras, who put restrictions on the entry of meat from Nicaragua of course [there are] sanitation problems and phytosanitary risks."

Honduras Starts Beef Exports to Taiwan
