Nicaragua: Prices for Renewable Energy

From May 26 a new pricing benchmark will come into effect for the development of energy generation using renewable sources.

The information published on the website of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Nicaragua indicates prices in $ per MWh as a reference for the development of renewable projects.

It was also announced that another business mission from Madrid will arrive in November, having visited the country for the first time in February this year, and that on this occasion there will be 15 investors interested not only in energy but also in "construction, infrastructure, engineering, communication projects, fish, and fashion products ".

This was admitted by the director of development of renewable energy at the National Energy Council (CNE), Mario Rodriguez, who presented to representatives of the electricity sector the content of a Master Plan for Development of Renewable Energy.
