Nicaragua Opens Embassy in South Korea

On November 8 credentials will be presented to the South Korean government and efforts will start on promoting Nicaragua as an investment destination.

Elnuevodiario.com.ni reports: "...The foreign minister of Nicaragua, Samuel Santos, confirmed yesterday that Nicaragua will open an embassy in South Korea, and Jorge Arnesto Alm will be the ambassador to China, after presenting his credentials on November 8. "

One of the purposes of opening up the site in South Korean is to increase the promotion of Nicaragua as a destination for investment by South Korean companies.

"...South Korean investments in Nicaragua are strong in the free zones. The investment in this area corresponds to more than U.S. $180 million, distributed in 33 companies, in which about 35,000 Nicaraguans are working, and whose exports are around $570 million a year.

Guatemala Opens Embassy in India

Guatemala is seeking to consolidate its presence in Asia in order to explore new business, investment and cooperation opportunities.

The interest of the Republic of Guatemala in consolidating and improving the bilateral relationship with the Republic of India, beginning from the month of May 1972 has been realized with the opening of the Embassy of Guatemala in New Delhi, being officially established on 4 April of this year. Great Britain Re-opens Embassy in El Salvador

As part of the expansion of diplomatic relations in Latin America, the British Government will reopen the embassy closed in 2003.

Julie Chapel, British ambassador in Guatemala, said they hope to work with the Government of El Salvador on regional security issues.
