Nicaragua: Facilitation of Procedures for New Businesses

The procedures required for making investments of over $500,000 outside of Managua can now be made through a single window that includes all entities.

Thursday, March 9, 2017

The Superior Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP) has announced that the window is already operating in Managua, and will allow companies to make investments in the departments in the interior of the country, centralizing all of their paperwork in one place, without having to manage multiple processes in different institutions.

The president of Cosep, Jose Adan Aguerri, told Elnuevodiario.com.ni that "... the 'window will allow companies to make applications in Managua and develop all processes for gaining permits from municipalities and various state agencies, which will provide their authorizations according to the type of product on which the investment will be made or the type of industry."

Aguerri added that "... an African palm company requested, through the single window approval to invest in El Rama, where it intends to plant some 7,000 hectares."
