New Wendy's Restaurant in Costa Rica

"Comidas Rápidas Wentica", Costa Rican operator of the franchise, will open its fifth restaurant in the country.

The $1 million restaurant is located in shopping mall "Paseo de las Flores", in Heredia, and will be open for customers in November.

Jorge Castellanos is the Director of Operations of the franchise in the country. He told newspaper that "...for this operation, they will employ between 35 and 40 people. They are currently in the process of hiring, so anyone interested can submit their application in any of the other four restaurants".

Luis Gonzalez, operations manager for McDonald's in El Salvador said the investment plan for next year also includes opening a McCafe in every restaurant in the country.

Expansion of Chicken Chains in Costa Rica

More stores in different parts of the country, new brands and increasing competition are defining the chicken restaurant market.

This year alone there are plans to open at least two outlets under the Nicaraguan franchise Tip Top, which last year tried its hand in the center of the province of Alajuela.

Wendy’s Invests $3 Million in Costa Rica

The fast food chain will open two new restaurants before the end of the year.

One will be located in the province of San José and the other in Heredia, and will employ a total of 70 people.

The San José restaurant will be opened at Paseo Colón, and the one in Heredia will be located at shopping mall Real Cariari.
