New Shopping Center in Guatemala

On November 8, the Pradera Vistares shopping center was opened in Zone 12 of the capital, which required a $53 million investment.

Pradera Vistares is part of a mixed-use complex, which includes residential spaces. In October 2017 CentralAmericaData reported that Inmobiliaria Vistares, S.A. had submitted the EIA to build in zone 12 of Guatemala City, two residential towers of 118 apartments and a shopping center. According to the document, the project is called "Construction and Operation of Master Plan Visitares."

According to information from the developers, the project requires a global investment of $70 million, $53 million of which is earmarked for the shopping center and the remaining $17 million for the construction of the apartments.

Luis Villela, director of Multi-Projects shopping centers, explained to Prensalibre.com that "... One of the important benefits of this project is its location and its accessibility having connection with Petapa Avenue and Atanasio Tzul makes it a really easy place to get in and out. We know that this project will add to the local development, to the development of the sector. We bring a lot of international concepts, franchises from outside and local concepts that have a very good mix between them for our commercial proposal."

Regarding the supply of the commercial complex, the article details that has "... A wide commercial mix, supermarket, cinema, games area and fork restaurants are the attractions of the new shopping center. It will offer 100 stores, 23 kiosks and 13 restaurants in Food Court."

The two apartment towers are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020.
