New Service Center in Costa Rica

U.S. medical technology company Stryker announced the opening of a financial services center in the country, through which it will support its operations in the region.

San José, Costa Rica. November 5, 2018. Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, announced it will open an office in Costa Rica, as it creates a hub for finance activities and services.

In the first phase of hiring, the company plans to fill approximately 90 positions to support general accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.

The Minister of Foreign Trade, Dyalá Jiménez said: “Costa Rica’s services sector has become a leader in the region and it is the third largest Latin American exporter of high-value added services. Today, we celebrate Stryker’s establishment in the country as a Med Tech leader. We are proud and satisfied to prove the trust given to our people and to our country. We look forward to working together as allies and generating opportunities for Costa Rica’s well-being.”

“We are opening an office in Costa Rica due to its strong economic environment, its highly skilled workforce, and its proximity to both our U.S. and Latin American employees and customers,” said Tim Williams, VP of Finance Operations for Stryker. “We know that Costa Rica will help us scale as we continue to grow.”

The company will hire candidates with finance and accounting skills, experience in executing finance and accounting processes, and experience working virtually with teams in other countries.
