New Orleans - Mexico - Honduras Flight

Beginning July 6, Aeroméxico will offer a daily flight between New Orleans, Mexico City and San Pedro Sula.

The mayor of the American city indicated that the flight will boost tourism and business travel and make travel easier for people in New Orleans who have family in Mexico and Honduras.

An AP article published in reported that travel between New Orleans and Honduras used to be possible through TACA before Hurricane Katrina. In order to make the flight a reality once again, the city shared the risk with Aeroméxico, and it can lose up to $250 thousand if the flight is not successful.

Aeromexico to Fly to San Salvador

The Mexican carrier has announces a new daily flight to San Salvador starting from May 7th.

This new route will provide connections with "more than 40 cities" in Mexico, the U.S. and other destinations, said the manager of International Sales for Aeromexico, Francisco Posadas.

Aeroméxico Resumes Flights from San Pedro Sula

On March 26th the airline will start operating two daily flights between Mexico and airport Juan Santamaría in Costa Rica.

One will depart from Mexico City and the other from Cancún. reported that local tourism authorities will take advantage of this to promote the arrival of Mexican tourists to Costa Rica.
