New Mexicana Frequencies to Guatemala

Weekly flights from Mexico to Guatemala and vice versa will increase from 14 to 17.

The company is hoping to increase the number of passengers between both countries in 40%.

Fernando del Cid, Mexicana's Sales Manager in Guatemala, said that "... Mexicana de Aviación has chosen to increase the number of flights instead of getting bigger planes".

More Iberia Flights Between Spain and Panama

The Panamanian government and the airline have widened the scope of their agreement to add a fifth weekly flight with each party investing $370,000 in the route's market.

The signing of the new agreement between Iberia and the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) will increase the frequency of flights to five per week from Madrid Barajas airport to Panama's Tocumen International airport.

Mexicana Inaugurates San Jose - Cancun Flight

The air route opened yesterday, offering 4 weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Airline Mexicana will operate this route with Airbus A318 planes, capable of 124 passengers.

This route will allow the company "to offer additional connections, through its Connections Hub in Cancun, to any city in the United States, specially in the East Coast, such as Washington, Chicago, Miami, New York, and in the Caribbean, like La Habana and San Juan, Puerto Rico", reported Nicaraguahoy.info.

Costa Rica and Mexico agree to increase frequency of flights

November 2008

The ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) in San Jose reported that they agreed to increase the number of flights from 16 to 28 flights per week.

Costa Rican Airline, LACSA, which is a member of the TACA group, will go from 6 to 14 weekly flights, while the Mexican airline, Mexicana, will increase from 10 to 14 flights per week, the MOPT said in a press release.
