New Low Cost Flights to Managua

VECA Airlines will start operations in the Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport on April 27, with flights to San Salvador and San Jose.

After the announcement by Nicaraguan tourism authorities, the low-cost airline VECA Airlines confirmed on its website that it will start flights from Managua to San Salvador (direct flight) and San Jose (one stop) from April 27.

To travel from Managua to San Jose, with a stopover in El Salvador, the airline will fly in the morning, leaving at 9:30 am, Managua time, arriving in San Jose at 12:26 p.m. at a cost $180, round trip. The flight from Costa Rica leaves at 1:40 pm arriving in Managua at 5:00 pm, stopping once in El Salvador.

The direct flight from Managua to San Salvador leaves Nicaragua at 9:30 am, arriving at Comalapa International Airport at 10:30. From El Salvador, the flight leaves at 4:00 pm, returning to Augusto Cesar Sandino Airport at 5:00 pm The cost of the round trip ticket is $ 184. As usual in their itineraries, flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The Salvadoran airline VECA will be operating two daily flights between El Salvador and Guatemala starting from January 2015.

The start of operations of Vuelos Económicos Centroamericanos (VECA), which is scheduled for the end of November, will be an excellent opportunity for regional tourism due to the low cost of airfares.

New Flights from Honduras to South America, Mexico and Cuba

The airline Global Air Mexico has announced that it will begin operating scheduled flights from San Pedro Sula to Quito, Caracas, Toluca and Havana.

In addition to the new flights announced by Global Air Mexico, Honduras Airports Company announced that Nicaragua's regional airline, La Costeña, formerly dedicated to private cargo flights to Costa Rica, is now providing new services from Managua to Tegucigalpa.
