New Flights from Panama to Guyana, Fort Lauderdale and Montreal

Starting June Copa Airlines will offer direct flights from Panama City to Georgetown in Guyana, Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. and Montreal, Canada.

Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA (NYSE: CPA) has announced its growth plans for the first half of 2014, including the start of three (3) new direct flights from Panama to Montreal, Canada, Fort Lauderdale USA and Georgetown, Guyana, expanding its aircraft fleet and 10% growth in available seats.

With this growth, the airline is strengthening its leadership in the region, from its Hub of the Americas in Panama, it offers passengers in Montreal, Fort Lauderdale and Georgetown the fastest and most efficient way to connect to Latin America, providing passengers more flight options and better opportunities for connection with its extensive route network.

"Our growth in recent years has allowed us to strengthen our leadership position in aviation in the region and consolidate the Hub of the Americas as the most successful and efficient center for travel to, from and within Latin America," said the CEO of the airline, Pedro Heilbron. Direct Flight from Panama to Santa Clara in Cuba

As of December 9th, Copa Airlines will fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Tocumen International Airport to the city of Santa Clara, access point to Cayo Santa Maria.

Non Stop Flights From Panama to Georgetown and Fort Lauderdale

Starting from July 11, Copa Airlines will fly twice a week to Georgetown and four times weekly to Fort Lauderdale.

Panama City, July 11, 2014 - Copa Airlines. {NYSE: CPA} a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA, and member of the global airline network, Star Alliance, today begins direct flights between the cities of Georgetown (Guyana ) and Fort Lauderdale (USA), from its Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport, connecting with its services throughout the Latin American continent. The government of the Republic of Panama has approved Law 62 of September 17, 2013, by which certain provisions are added to the Penal Code. These new provisions are directly related to common aggravating circumstances and the crime of terrorism.

Panama-Montreal Nonstop Flights

June 2014

With a frequency of four times per week Copa Airlines has began operating a direct flight from Tocumen to the Canadian city of Montreal.

Copa Airlines, a member of the global airline network Star Alliance, began a nonstop service four times a week between Montreal and Panama on June 3, 2014, as part of its plans for a rapid expansion of the network this year.

Copa Airlines Continues to Expand Fleet And Destinations

October 2013

In 2014 the airline of Panamanian origin will incorporate seven new aircraft, increase frequencies and open two new routes to the U.S.  

This was announced by Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa. The new airline destinations to be incorporated are Boston and Tampa in the United States.
