New Flights Between Ecuador and Panama

Ecuadorian airline TAME is planning to start operatiobs in Panama under a code share agreement with Copa.

CEO Gustavo Cuesta announced that they will start with a daily flight from Quito and Guayaquil to Panama City in December, using Airbus A320 planes.

Additionally, they will share flight codes with Copa and its 24 weekly flights from Panama to Ecuador.

“It is a big market. Panama from Ecuador is huge”, noted Cuesta.

Flights from San Salvador to Quito and Cali

The Group Avianca Taca is expanding its operations from San Salvador with new routes which will commence to operate in July.

The airline announced that from July 1st it will have two new destinations starting from Comalapa International Airport to Quito in Ecuador and Cali in Colombia.

Condor Airlines Initiates Flights to Panama

Since last Friday, the German airline started its weekly flight to Panama City.

The flight takes off from Frankfurt on Thursdays and arrives at Tocumen airport on Fridays after a 45 minute stop in the Dominican Republic.

Joanna Ledezma, manager of Condor in Panama, told that "...the airline maintains a code share agreement with Copa Airlines, which will allow passengers to use the Tocumen air hub to make connections to other destinations in Latin America."

New Direct Flight Between El Salvador and Guayaquil

Taca Airlines will open a new direct flight between El Salvador and Guayaquil, Ecuador, three times a week.

The company is conducting the required paperwork to get the official approvals from the air transport authorities of El Salvador and Ecuador.

Estuardo Ortiz, COO of Avianca-TACA, commented that “this new route makes it easier to travel between the three Americas, connecting cities in Canada with Central America and with northern South America. We are trying to serve our passengers in the best possible way”.

New Barranquilla - Panama Flight

August 2009

From August 7th, Aero República will operate a new Barranquilla - Panama flight, three times a week.

The new flight leaves Barranquilla at 7:32 AM, and lands in Panama City at 8:47 AM, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The return route takes off from Tocumen airport at 8:13 PM, landing in Barranquilla at 9:28 PM, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
