The current Free Movement Post in Corinto, located in Honduran territory,
will operate as an Integrated Control Post.

From an article in Diario de Centroamérica:

Within the framework of the Customs Union between Guatemala and Honduras, the government of President Juan Orlando Hernández plans to set up a border post in Corinto, department of Copan, in order to expedite and facilitate the movement of goods and people between the two countries, reported Enrique Lacs, Vice Minister of Integration and Foreign Trade.

 This border post which is scheduled to be ready in no less than two months, will be in addition to the ones in Agua Caliente and El Florido.

 Melvin Redondo, Undersecretary of Foreign Trade and Economic Integration in Honduras, said today during a meeting in which both officials took part, that the instruction was given by the president, in order to facilitate operations between the two countries.

Honduras - Guatemala Customs Union

The governments have announced the end of the negotiation process and reconfirmed that operations will start on June 26 at the Corinto border post.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Guatemala:

Guatemala, June 16, 2017. Guatemalan and Honduran officials concluded the negotiation process on Friday of the Customs Union between Guatemala and Honduras, which will officially open on June 26 at the border post in Corinto.

During the first phase of implementation, scheduled for next July, the three border control posts to be activated will be El Florido, Agua Caliente-Corinto and Entre Ríos.

Guatemala - Honduras Border Integration Starts

The first stage of the pilot program, which began on June 1, consists of transferring the post of El Florido Guatemala, to Honduran offices in Agua Caliente.
