Nestlé Acquires Majority Stake of Guatemalan Company

The Swiss multinational corporation became the largest shareholder of company Malher.

This Guatemalan enterprise manufactures several brands, includes Malher, Yus, Toky, Doña Mari, Campestre and Fruty Dulce, and employs 1,300 people at its two manufacturing facilities.

Léo Leiman, Nestlé's CEO for Central America, stated: "With over 50 years dedicated to manufacturing and commercializing food products in Guatemala and other Central American countries, Malher's strength and tradition will join the world's leader in nutrition, health and well-being. This shows Nestlé's commitment in this market, in which we expect to see important growth over the next years".
