More Business between Guatemala and Russia

Through the signing of a bilateral agreement, Guatemalan exporters plan to establish contacts with potential partners and facilitate trade negotiations.

With the objective of strengthening commercial ties and promoting negotiations between both nations, the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport) signed an agreement with the National Committee for Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries. 

Regarding the commercial relations with the European country, Antonio Malouf, president of Agexport, explained to that " ... 'Russia is of interest, because in 2017, US $16 million was exported in raw tobacco, bananas, coffee, vehicles, cardamom and transport material'."

"... This agreement will make it possible to establish contacts with potential partners and conduct business negotiations, exhibitions and bilateral visits by business delegations for the development of economic-commercial cooperation and the development of reciprocal investments."

The Guatemalan Exporters Association is preparing a trade mission for entrepreneurs on May 5th-9th 2014.

In order to provide Guatemalan businessmen an appointment schedule with potential Central American buyers interested in their services / products aimed at facilitating the networking and expanding opportunities for direct business, the Department of Promotion and Trade Information at AGEXPORT, will be organising from 5 to 9 May 2014, a multisectoral trade mission to San Salvador, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.

Guatemalan Trade Mission to Italy

October 2012

Between 22 and 29 of October Guatemalan businessmen will be exploring business opportunities in various sectors of the Italian economy.

During the trade mission, organized by the Italian-Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agexport, deals are expected to be struck worth around $1 million.
