This was announced by José Antonio Pineda of the Commission for the Promotion of Public Private Partnerships (Coalianza). He explained that five banks were involved in the process but Continental was the only one to bid.

"Banco Continental was awarded the management of the trust of this road. The fiduciary fee will be 1% which is acceptable for the size of the project and we will be ready to sign the contract in two weeks," he added.

According to Pineda, the contract must be approved by the Cabinet, then it has to go to Congress for approval and finally it must also be published in the official newspaper La Gaceta. When that process is met the tender process can start.

"It is expected that the first quarter of 2014 will see the start of the project: Financing, construction, renovation, expansion, operation and maintenance of highways CA-4 , CA -11 and CA -10," noted an article in Laprensa.hn.
