More El Salvador-Mexico Flights

Starting October 27, Interjet Airlines will increase its flights between San Salvador and the U.S. capital, reaching 14 weekly frequencies.

Representatives of the airline confirmed that with the increase in frequencies, passengers will be able to choose between morning and afternoon schedules, flights that will be operated on a daily basis.

Elsalvador.com reviews that "... The schedule for flights from San Salvador to Mexico will be: the first will depart at 11.05 a.m. and arrive at 1.40 p.m., and the other will depart at 9.35 p.m. and arrive at midnight. While departures from Mexico to San Salvador will be: departing at 7.50 a.m. and arriving at 10.05. The other flight will depart at 6.20 p.m. arriving at 8.35 p.m."

Julio Gamero, commercial executive director of Interjet, explained that "... So, we have morning and afternoon flights, with convenient connections within Mexico and internationally. The airline offers a wide range of connections because it flies to 10 destinations in the United States, while in Mexico there are 30. In Canada it flies to Canada, Toronto and Vancouver."

New Flights El Salvador–Mexico Announced

November 2018

Salvadoran authorities reported that the Mexican Interjet is managing licenses to make flights between the two countries, and is expected to start operations in December.

According to representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority of El Salvador (AAC), the Mexican airline plans to make flights once granted the permission of Foreign Air Operator.

Starting in August, Avianca plans to start operating new direct routes between the Salvadoran capital and the cities of Boston and Orlando.

The airline reported that both flights will have four frequencies per week and will depart from Monsenor Óscar Arnulfo Romero and Galdámez International Airport. The flight to Orlando will be inaugurated on August 1 and the route to Boston will begin on August 17. 

New Low Cost Flights to Managua

April 2016

VECA Airlines will start operations in the Augusto Cesar Sandino International Airport on April 27, with flights to San Salvador and San Jose.

After the announcement by Nicaraguan tourism authorities, the low-cost airline VECA Airlines confirmed on its website that it will start flights from Managua to San Salvador (direct flight) and San Jose (one stop) from April 27.

New Flight Between Panama and Germany

February 2015

As of November 16 the German airline Lufthansa will operate five weekly flights between Tocumen International Airport and Frankfurt.

From November 16, 2015, the airline will offer flights throughout the year to the city of Panama, subject to government approval.
