Mexicans Acquire Hydroelectric Power Plants in Panama

Grupo Carso announced the acquisition of the total shares of Ideal Panama, a company operating two hydroelectric plants with a combined capacity of 145 MW.

The amount of the transaction was $152.6 million, according to a relevant announcement published by the Mexican Stock Exchange.

The announcement states that "... Grupo Carso S.A.B. de C.V. informs the investing public that on February 5, 2020, through its subsidiary Carso Energy Corp. it acquired, from Promotora del Desarrollo de América Latina, 100% of the shares representing the capital stock of Ideal Panama."

The document states that "... Ideal Panama, S.A. has a debt with the commercial banks for an amount of $400,000,000 USD."
