Panama, September 21, 2016. The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), with support from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Social Security Department (CSS) is organizing EXPOMÉDICA, "Exhibition on Medical Health, Beauty, Nutrition, Sports & Wellness" on September 23 and 24 in the Atlapa Convention Center, to promote medical services, and products for health, beauty and healthy lifestyles.

Carlos Sacre, president of the organizing committee of the fair, said that "sports activities and healthy lifestyles make up most of the agenda of activities in the country. Medical Expo 2016 is an opportunity for national and international companies connected to health, nutrition, wellness, sports and beauty."

In Panama, tenders are submitted for the adaptation and supply of special systems for the magnetic resonance room building of the José Domingo de Obaldía Maternal and Child Hospital.

Panama Government Purchase 2018-0-12-0-04-LV-025678:

" The required work in this project includes the provision of professional services for the development of the preliminary project, design, final plans, approval of plans, supply of equipment, tools, materials, labor, transport and everything required to carry out the works for the installation of the special systems of the magnetic resonance room building of the José Domingo de Obaldía Maternal and Child Hospital."

Costa Rica: $18 million for Medical Equipment

March 2017

$18 million will be allocated to equip the seven-story tower, which will be built starting from April at the Calderon Guardia hospital, with 209 beds, 35 incubators and radiology, neonatology, gynecology, and an isolation unit.

The estimated cost of the project is $83 million, its construction will begin in mid-April and it will be completed within three years, according to the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).
