Friday, January 30, 2015

The Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism (CASATUR) hopes to have the participation of 30 union members who will be publicizing various tour packages offered by shipping lines. During the summit, which will be held in the capital, short visits will be conducted with the aim of positioning the capital as a tourist destination.

Roberto Calderon, president of (CASATUR), told Elsalvador.com that "... In the future it is expected negotiations will be held with state shipping companies to allow tourists to spend a night in Salvadoran hotels. " "... Another challenge that the tourism sector will have to address is adequate infrastructure for cruises. "

He added that "... Efforts for presidents of these corporations know the country and see the benefits that could be had. As it is a virtually new destination there is a need to see the facilities that we have. "
