The Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism (CASATUR) hopes to have the participation of 30 union members who will be publicizing various tour packages offered by shipping lines. During the summit, which will be held in the capital, short visits will be conducted with the aim of positioning the capital as a tourist destination.

Roberto Calderon, president of (CASATUR), told Elsalvador.com that "... In the future it is expected negotiations will be held with state shipping companies to allow tourists to spend a night in Salvadoran hotels. " "... The Costa Rican Tourism Institute has announced an alliance with the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association, to develop a long-term strategy and encourage the arrival of more cruise ships.

Guatemala to Waive Cruise Ship Tax
