Medication: Institutional Market Up to the First Quarter of 2020

The "Interactive Public Procurement Information System" of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData provides interesting data on the companies that in the first quarter of 2020 were favored with contracts to provide pharmaceutical products and medical supplies to the various Ministries of Health and Social Security entities in the Central American countries.

According to the information system, some of the companies supplying medical and pharmaceutical products in Panama are Medimex, S.A., Unipharm Panama S.A., Representaciones Celmar, S.A. and Nutrimed S.A.

In Guatemala, Agencia Farmaceutica Internaciona S.A. (Agefinsa), J.I. Cohen S.A., Oxi-Rent S.A. and Bodega Farmeceutica S.A., are among the companies with contracts awarded during the first quarter of the year.

In El Salvador, some of the companies contracted by the government were Servicios Tecnicos Medicos S.A., Laboratorios Vijosa S.A. and Farlab S.A., among others. In the case of Honduras, Corporacion Industrial Farmaceutica, Nipro Medical Corporation and Productos de Diagnostico y Labortario S. de R.L. are listed.

In the case of the Dominican Republic, Macrotech Farmacéutica SRL and Grupo Farmecéutico Car-M SRL are reported as suppliers to health entities.
