The multinational Sealed Air Corporation has opened an office in Costa Rica, its second in Latin America.

Operations began on Wednesday at the San Jose headquarters of the transnational Sealed Air Corporation, a leader in specialty packaging for the medical device industry.

Baxter Expands Costa Rican Operations

Baxter will proceed to move to Costa Rica the financial administration of Puerto Rico, and next year it will bring those of Argentina, Chile and Colombia. Mexico and Brazil will follow in 2011.

Elfinancierocr.com reports: "It is expected that in 2010 some 500 workers will be manufacturing medical devices.

Initially the branch in Costa Rica will be used to expand production of medical devices for its line of heart valves."
