The "Market Study of Medical Equipment in Central America and the Dominican Republic", prepared by the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, details the main figures of the regional market for different types of medical equipment.

In the case of foreign purchases of wristbands, the report states that Guatemalan and Salvadoran companies are the main buyers, representing around 78% of regional imports. Next are the Dominican Republic and Honduras, markets that together account for 14% of foreign purchases.

The study explains that in the market for knee pads, companies in the Dominican Republic and Panama account for 30% of regional imports, and Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, concentrate 51% of purchases abroad.

Reviewing the details by type of medical equipment and brand, the report shows that Omron, Hudson and Clarke, are the brands of nebulizers that are marketed more regionally.

In the wheelchair market, the report highlights that among the most imported brands by Central American companies are Drive, Jiangsu, Foshan and Shanghai.

The report includes relevant information on the market for medical equipment such as diagnostic agents, orthopedic devices, and other equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and accessories, among others, in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
