On October 15 and 16, Costa Rica will host an international congress for companies in the life sciences sector.

From a statement issued by the Cinde:

San Jose Costa Rica. May 17, 2018.  On October 15 and 16, Costa Rica will be the meeting point for high-level exhibitors in the life sciences
industry, decision makers of the world's leading companies in the sector, key suppliers, consulting firms, among others, in the fourth edition of the Life Sciences Forum Costa Rica 2018, organized by the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (CINDE).

On this occasion, the newly opened Convention Center of Costa Rica will be the site that will receive more than 500 people from the United States, Latin America and Europe. 

How does artificial intelligence, automation, mega data or cybersecurity affect the world of medical devices and life sciences? Are global leading medical companies changing to better serve patients in the interconnected world? Is Costa Rica part of these global changes in the industry? These and other topics will be part of the forum whose central theme is: "The convergence of technologies leading the future of the life sciences".

Medical Manufacturing Forum in Costa Rica

From October 9 to 10 representatives of medical device manufacturers will be taking part in an international forum in San Jose.

San Jose, 14 September 2016. Costa Rica will be hosting the third edition of the biggest Latin American forum in the field of Life Sciences, which is the Life Sciences Forum Costa Rica 2016, organized by the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE), the agency in charge of attracting foreign investment to the country.

Medical Devices Keep Up Momentum in Costa Rica

It has been reported that 63 foreign companies operate facilities for manufacturing medical supplies and devices in areas such as neuromodulation, dentistry, cardiovascular, orthopedics and endoscopy.

At the end of 2014 exports of medical devices totaled $1.9 billion, ie 19% more than reported in 2013.

Navtar Starts Operations in Costa Rica

With an investment of $4 million, the U.S. medical device supplier will open its first plant in Latin America and its fifth worldwide.

Navtar, a division of the corporation Tekni-Plex, Inc., is to locate the new plant in Zone Z in Cartago, the space will measure 1000 square meters, with the possibility of expanding its size to 3,700 square meters next year.
