The Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments in El Salvador (PROESA) has given a lecture on market research services for exporters in the seminar-workshop entitled "Market Intelligence" organized by Coexport.

Is there opportunity to export my product? Where can export it to? Who are my competitors? At what price can I sell? Who are my potential customers? What is the profile of my potential buyers? These are questions that every company should consider when starting an export business. In order to answer them PROESA is providing support to companies with database information and visits to research the target market, explained Juan Carlos Lopez, Manager of Market Intelligence from PROESA in a seminar-workshop called "Market Intelligence" organized by Coexport .

"The market rstudies are exploratory investigations to show whether a product or service has potential in the target market," said Lopez. This research is based on a series of questions answered by a counterpart, which can be an importer, distributor, manufacturer or an outlet regarding a range of products sold by an organizational sales force releated to incoterms for purchases and payment methods, and also about the tastes and preferences of consumers.
