The report explains that "...  Of the five variables that make up the index, the two most important in the perception of those interviewed were sales volume and production volume. When IMAM remains above the threshold of 50 points, it reflects that the economic conditions and prospects of the manufacturing sector are considered favorable.

The variables examined were weighted and adjusted for seasonality. All showed increases in the perception of the industrialists: "sales volume" went from 53.0 in June to 73.7 in July 2019; "production volume" went from 55.0 in June to 74.1 in July of this year; Employment went from 50.9 in June to 54.5 in July 2019; Delivery Deadline for Suppliers went from 55.7 in June to 62.1 in July 2019, and the Raw Material Inventory went from 47.3 in June to 48.0 in July of this year (although it remained below the barrier of 50.0).
