He was explaining that the 1,200 new posts strengthen the trend indicated in the third quarter results of its survey of employment expectations. According to the results, 24% of Costa Rican businesses are optimistic about their plans to hire more staff in the coming months.

The positions are open to those with 100% command of both written and oral English.

Costa Rica: Amazon to hire 700 people

Amazon, the leader in the sale of good over the Internet, will open its first customer service center in Latin America at the end of November in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Alejandro Filloy, country manager, said that by December they hope to have employed some 700 Costa Rican who are fluent in English to attend to the queries of online Amazon buyers.
