Machinery: Institutional Market in Central America

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Kaeser Compressors, Cemcol and Goldstar Elevators, are some of the companies with the most important contracts to supply machinery and tools to public institutions in Central America.

An analysis by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit provides interesting data on the companies that were awarded contracts to supply machinery and tools to the governments of Central American countries in 2019.

The information system specifies that among the main suppliers in Costa Rica are Comtel Ingeniería, Nautica JJ, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems de México, and Maquinaria y Tractores Limitada.

In Guatemala it is reported that Equipos y Válvulas S.A., Constructora La Metro S.A., Kaeser Compresores de Guatemala and Aquasistemas S.A., are among the companies that according to the amount awarded, obtained important contracts last year.

In Panama, some of the main companies contracted by the government were Electro Sistemas, Trituración y Servicios S.A., Comercial de Motores S.A., Elevadores Goldstar S.A., Sistemas de Vapor S.A., among others. In the case of Honduras, Cemcol Comercial S.A. and Ferretería Ricardo J. Bendeck are reported as machinery and tool suppliers.
