Low Cost Costa Rica – Colombia Flights

The low-cost airline Wingo announced that it plans to open two weekly frequencies between San José and Bogotá starting in September.

The company reported that it has not yet applied for permits from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC), but that flights would be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and ticket prices will have prices from $130 round trip.

Juan Sebastian Molano, Wingo's Communications Manager, explained to Nacion.com that "... the company has an expansion strategy towards new places. Today with the addition of San Jose, we consolidate ourselves as the low-cost airline with the largest international operation in the region. Additionally, our team keeps exploring new destinations to continue driving growth in Latin America."

The article adds that "... The new flight between Bogota and San Jose would also represent Wingo's return to Costa Rica after installing a fleeting operation in the country between December 2016 and October 2017.
