Once the flight to El Salvador begins in February, the company plans to start operations through Central America.

Milan - El Salvador flight confirmed

The first regular Milan - San Salvador (via Havana) by the Livingston airline company is scheduled for Thursday, February 19.

This is according to Giovanni de Verti, air connectivity adviser.

El Salvador - Milan flights postponed until 2009

The Italian airline once again postponed its weekly Milan-El Salvador flight until February of next year.

"During my trip to Europe, I contacted them and they confirmed that they will commence the flights on February 5. This was communicated verbally and not in writing," said the head of Mitur, Ruben Rochi, who had announced the arrival of the airline on October 31.

Tourism minister, Ruben Rochi, said that the inaugural flight scheduled for this Friday, October 31, is still up in the air.

The official expects that within the next few days that there will be a notification by the Italian airline to clarify the situation.

"I am uninformed, it is possible that we won't have the flight this week, but we would expect a note from them," the minister said.

Italian airline to launch non-stop flights linking Milan with San Salvador

The Italian airline Livingston is going to launch regular non-stop flights between San Salvador and Milan every Sunday from October 31.

Livingston tested interest in the route with 10 Sunday flights linking the two cities as part of a pilot program that ended in January.
