Panamanian companies, main buyers
In 2018 the main importer of pumps for liquids and their parts in Central America was Panama, with $58 million, followed by Guatemala, with $49 million, Costa Rica, with $34 million, Honduras with $29 million, El Salvador with $23 million and Nicaragua with $17 million.

Variation in regional business
Between 2017 and 2018 the value of imported pumps for liquids and their parts in Central America fell 8%, from $230 million to $210 million. On the other hand, the value imported from the U.S. for the periods concerned also decreased, in this case by 4%, dropping from $103 million to $98 million.

Main sellers
Last year, 47% of the value imported from Central America was from the U.S., 7% from China, 4% from Australia, 4% from Mexico and 4% from Germany.

In the last seven years Australia has been the market of origin of imports that has grown the most, since in 2012 there were no purchases and in 2018 reached 4% of the total.
