Tender for Construction of a Cruise Terminal

The Port Authority at the Dominican Republic will announce a proposal to develop a cruise and passenger terminal in Puerto Plata.

dir="ltr">The project consists of rebuilding the port of Puerto Plata, which was destroyed after Hurricanes Irma and María, and building a cruise and passenger terminal.

The Dominican Port Authority will hold a Public Hearing this Friday, April 20, in order to open a space for information, analysis and agreement on the project. 

Eldinero.com.do explains that "...In this scenario, information, explanations, development proposals and aspects related to the formulation of the project that was opened for Public Bidding on Monday, March 12 of this year as a first phase for the reconstruction of the Puerto Plata Port will be made available to those present. For such purposes, the Port Authority also ordered the creation of an Open Virtual Forum  available on the website of the institution www.portuaria.gob.do/foro". 

"... The call for bids and the specifications published last month was approved by the Board of Directors of the Dominican Port Authority, chaired by the Vice Minister of Public Works, Eng. Juan Carlos Montás, through Resolution no. 10/2018 adopted at its meeting last 1st. March 2018. In October 2017, the Port Authority published in the national press a declaration of interest for the investment of cruise ships in this port."
