Tender for Computer Parts

The Central Bank of Costa Rica wishes to purchase Microsoft products such as licenses, maintenance and services, on an on demand basis for a period of four years.

"The Procurement Department at Banco Central de Costa Rica (BCCR) will receive bids until 10:00 hours on April 3, 2014, according to the clock in the Procurement Department for the purchase of Microsoft products: licenses, maintenance and services, delivery mode on demand, for a period of four (4) years, for the BCCR and fully decentralized bodies (ODM by their initials in Spanish) ".

Deadline for submission of bids: April 3, 2014.

Software Renewal for $8.7 million

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad is putting out to tender renewal rights to use and update software licenses for the UNISYS LIBRA PLATFORM (GITEL).

Purpose of the tender:

Renewal and Update of Rights of Use for Software licenses for the UNISYS LIBRA PLATFORM (GITEL), for a period of 20 months.

Costa Rica: 10 IT Companies Sold the State $ 287 million

March 2011

The 2010 list is lead by National Telecommunications and Networking Company CMW with $ 58 million.

Second place goes to Oracle with $ 48 million, followed by Ericsson AB with $ 28.5 million and Unisys of Central America in fourth place with $ 25 million.

According to the Integrated Contract Information System of the Comptroller General of the Republic, "the entity which drove these purchases was the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), the only current mobile operator in the local market since the start of operations by Claro and Telefonica is expected only during the second half of 2011," informed IT NOW on their website.
