Tender: Road Infrastructure

In El Salvador Fomilenio II is putting out to tender construction project management services and construction of 27 kilometers of road, including 53 drainage works, 4 bridges and 9 interchanges.

From a statement issued by the Presidency of El Salvador:

The Procurement Management of FOMILENIO II has launched a tender for hiring of construction supervision and construction services, which consists of 27 kilometers and which is an unprecedented project in the country's road investment in terms of design, since it includes 53 drainage works, including boxes, pipes and manifolds; more than 43 kilometers of gutters for adequate water drainage; 4 bridges, including one which is more than 180 meters in length on the Jiboa River; 9 interchanges (returns), located strategically so that vehicles can return safely; a central separator to avoid head on collisions and 13 pedestrian overpasses, located strategically in the educational centers and neighboring towns.

The period of execution of the work is estimated at 24 months and work is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018, ending in the first quarter of 2020.

Costa Rica: 70-kilometer of Road Works Announced

The Ministry of Public Works is preparing designs and tender documents for the construction of 70 kilometers of road between Barranca and Cañas, Guanacaste.

With the construction of the first 23 miles of the CLN, the Road Connectivity FOMILENIO project has enabled 63.934 local residents to mobilize their products in less time, has joined two municipalities which for years had been separated by the Rio Lempa and improved access to basic services like education and health.

El Salvador Awards Highway Stretch for $21.5 Million

Stretch 4-A of the Northern Longitudinal Highway will be built by company Linares S.A. for $21.5 million.

It starts at “Jesús Sensuntepeque” Bridge and must be completed in no more than 480 days.

“10.000 inhabitants from Cabañas will benefit with this additional 23.22 kilometers of highway”, reported Elsalvador.com.
