Large Tender Fails in Honduras

None of the four prequalified consortia submitted bids in the tender for the concession for the construction and operation of 106 kilometers of the West Corridor road.

Until the last days of last week the Commission for the Promotion of Public Private Partnership (Coalianza) sent communications regarding the opening on Monday of bids in this tender, important not only because of its volume and the need on the part of the Honduran economy for its realization, but also because the success of the tender would also be a success for the managers of Coalianza. But no one wanted to risk an offer.

Now Coalianza announces that "it will launch a private tender for the construction of Highway Ca-4 West.

The Commission for the Promotion of Public Private Partnership (COALIANZA), is launching a private tender for the project "financing, construction, rehabilitation, expansion, operation and maintenance of the road from West CA-4", Section I Chamelecón, Naco, La Entrada because today none of the four pre-qualified companies submitted technical and financial bids.

The Commission for the Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships (COALIANZA) and Banco Continental, SA in its capacity as Arranger Bannk and the Trustee of the Trust Project Called "Financing, Construction, Rehabilitation, Expansion, Operation And Maintenance Of The West Road CA-4, CA-10 and CA-11", in the terms of Legislative Decree No. 369-2013 issued by Congress, is calling on national and international companies interested in participating in the International Public Tender for the establishment of a Public -Private Partnership concession for "WEST CORRIDOR, CA-4 ROAD PHASE I , SECTION: CHAMELECON - NACO - LA ENTRADA " in the form of toll collection.
