$125 million Investment in Resort in Costa Rica

A group of Central American business people are building the luxury resort Dreams Las Mareas in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Operations are expected to start in November at the luxury resort Dreams Las Mareas in Guanacaste, whose construction started months ago having been set up by a group of businessmen in the region, using an investment of $125 million.

The information was confirmed by "Carlos Hernandez, general manager of Santa Elena Preserve, a group made up of Carlos Pellas of Pellas Development Group, the Costa Ricans Francis Durman - president of Grupo Montecristo and Ernesto Castegnaro - president of the board of BAC Credomatic - the Motta Group and the strategic partner , AM Resorts U.S., who will be the hotel operator."

The new project will have 447 rooms, and "is the first in a series of investments to be made in that area. Santa Elena Preserve acquired 1,500 hectares in which it will build several projects over the next 15 years."

" ... The master plan includes investments that could exceed $1 billion, which will include tourism and urban infrastructure at the regional level," said Hernandez.

Grupo Pellas has estimated that this will be the number of jobs generated once the project becomes operational.

The Guacalito Tourism Project, which is being developed by the Pellas Group on Nicaragua’s Pacific beaches will be inaugurated at the end of next year, company representatives announced.

One of them is Dreams Las Mareas Resort, initially valued at $125 million, to be located on a 1,500 hectare property in La Cruz, Guanacaste.

Nicaragua: $30 Million Wyndham Hotel

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts formed an alliance with Grupo Mariana to develop a $30 million hotel in the Pacific coast of Nicaragua.

The $30 million, 330-room Wyndham Mariana Resort & Casino will be one of the key centerpieces of the Seaside Mariana Spa & Golf Resort, which is situated on 923 acres with over one mile of beachfront.
