International Tender: Satellite Signal Services

The Secretariat of National Defense of Honduras tenders the satellite signal upload services of the Armed Forces TV Channel, data link and Internet and insertion of the channel in the programming grid.

Government of Honduras Purchase No. LPN-002-2021-SDN:

"The basic procedures for the Satellite Signal Upload and data and internet link with a bandwidth of 30 megabits, signal insertion and TV-HD for the channel Fuerzas Armadas TV are tendered. The contracted company is required to provide services twenty-four (24) hours a day and seven (7) days a week, in all the channel's facilities.

The technical characteristics of the services to be contracted shall serve as a reference for the service to be offered, as follows:

-Armed Forces TV Channel Satellite Signal Upload. A minimum of two (2) Mega Hertz bandwidth is required, in SD resolution (525i), H264 encoding, DVB-S2-8PSK modulation, horizontal polarity. The company must supply the transport equipment (fiber link: BNC-SDI, audio and embedded video) to teleport.

-Data and Internet link. A 30 megabit 1:1 dedicated bandwidth Internet and data link is required.

-Channel insertion in the programming grid. The FFAA TV channel may be viewed nationwide as part of the programming of the company awarded as winner of the bid.

-All TV-HD (02). Includes analog TV, basic digital, HD channels, two (02) PVR boxes".

Panama: Satellite Television Concession Awarded

June 2014

Cable & Wireless Panama SA has been authorized to provide a satellite television service called "Direct to Home".

From a statement issued by the National Authority of Public Services:

RESOLVES:

"... AUTHORIZE the concessionaire CABLE & WIRELESS PANAMA, SA to provide a Pay Television Service Type B (No.904), via satellite called "Direct to Home" (DTH), throughout the territory of the Republic of Panama .
