International Energy Sector Event

From November 20 to 22, the second edition of the Gas and Energy Summit of the Americas will be held in Panama City, where topics related to the financing of energy projects will be discussed.

The second edition of the Gas and Energy Summit of the Americas will combine conferences on strategic topics with high-level government presentations, thematic debates on innovative content, as well as discussion panels for the collective construction of solutions, led by prominent figures from the regional and global energy sector, informed the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI).

The official statement notes that "... The Gas and Energy Summit of the Americas will address current and relevant issues such as: financing the energy structure in the Americas, access to energy and rural electrification, cooperation between the United States and Panama in energy and infrastructure investments, the shift from gas to renewable sources, Latin America as a regional leader in renewable energy, and the challenges and opportunities of financing renewable energy generation in Latin America, among other topics."

From 6 to 7 May companies and investors in the sector will be in in San José taking part in business meetings and conferences relevant to franchises in the region.

The second edition of the American Franchise Summit will be held at the Hotel Park Inn, Costa Rica and will involve seven international speakers.

Conference on Natural Energy in the Caribbean

February 2014

Companies from the sector are to meet on February 13 in Santo Domingo at a Forum on the panorama for natural gas in the Caribbean.

On Feb. 13 A "Forum on the Panorama for Natural Gas in the Caribbean" will be held in the Dominican Republic. During the event the prospects for natural gas in the Caribbean basin will be analyzed in terms of energy security, economic development and the role of natural gas as a cleaner source of energy for countries in the region.
