International Arbitration Congress in Costa Rica

The event which will be held from February 22nd to 24th in San José will focus on the practice of international arbitration in resolving contractual problems in construction projects.

From a statement issued by the International Chamber of Commerce in Costa Rica (ICC):

Among the topics to be discussed during this conference are arbitration in Latin America and its current status, recognition and enforcement of foreign awards in Latin America, the rules of the ICC Dispute Board: the case of the Channel Tunnel, the characteristics of disputes in the construction industry, the future of the Committees of Disputes in Latin America, the resolution of disputes in FIDIC construction contracts, among other things.

The conference will feature exhibitors from Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, England, El Salvador, Spain, etc. Some of the panelists include Alvaro Castellanos, Alfredo Bullard, Andres Mezgravis, José Rosell, Mónica Fernández, among others.

The event will be held at the Hotel Real Intercontinental, from 22 to 24 February 2015.

IV International Congress of Arbitration

January 2013

Costa Rica will host the Congress which will focus on continental law and the so called Common Law in International Arbitration.

The event will be held on 18 and 19 February this year and will include the participation of prominent lawyers and experts in these legal figures, which are crucial for trade and public-private and multilateral business relations.
