The authorities have already acted in this sense, since the Ministry of Labor and Health have closed branches of restaurant chains in the country, such as Mister Donut, a company which for different reasons has been temporarily closed five points of sale.

Rolando Castro, Minister of Labor, told Elsalvador.com that "... they will begin the inspection of security companies and restaurants, as they have received complaints of violations of workers' rights, such as non-payment of overtime, collection of uniform and equipment, mistreatment and others."

Castro added that "... inspections will be made at all security companies in this country, including restaurant chains.  There are employers, and this is blatant, that even with the tip of the people stay. This week and the next we will do inspections of security companies and then we continue with restaurants."
