The interactive platform "Construction in Central America", of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, includes an updated list of public and private construction projects that present environmental impact studies (EIS) to the respective institutions in each country.

Costa Rica is the country in the region that last year concentrated the greatest investment, with approximately $60 million in industrial projects, corresponding to 27 environmental impact studies presented.

It is followed by Guatemala, where 12 EIAs were presented, which together total about $31 million in investment. Among the projects that stand out are an industrial complex of warehouses.

In Panama, eight studies were presented for work on different types of industrial plants, for an overall investment of approximately $10 million. The most important project consists of the expansion of the industrial area of a company that processes seafood.

In El Salvador, nine projects were submitted, for a total estimated investment of $3 million.
